The area of reference
The refining sector has a processing capacity of more than 300 thousand barrels per day, accompanied by a storage capacity of 4 million cubic meters of products and raw materials. The site, in addition, is capable of producing electricity up to 532 MW, confirming an efficient and high-tech infrastructure.
Currently, the operations of the three sites is managed by just over 1,000 people, a skilled workforce that is strategic to maintaining production standards.
People’s health, plant safety, environmental protection and sustainability, and product and service quality are our client’s core values. These principles guide the vision of a competitive, safe and reliable industrial facility capable of safeguarding human and corporate assets, protecting the environment and natural resources, and supporting local communities.
To translate these values into practice, the client has adopted the requirements of international standards ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 9001, as well as complying with UNI 10616 and UNI 10617. The use of the best available technologies demonstrates our client’s commitment to the preservation of the natural environment and the continuous improvement of its performance.
The problem
As part of the technological renewal of the IT fleet’s desktop and notebook equipment, the client conducted an in-depth technical and economic analysis to identify the product best suited to its needs. In this assessment, special emphasis was placed on operating rental as the preferred procurement solution.
Operational rental has proven over the years to be the most effective option for ensuring constant technological upgrading, which is essential to support daily activities efficiently. This formula enables devices that are always adapted to the needs of end users, ensuring high performance and maximum adaptability to technological changes.
R1 Lease’s response
In collaboration with Eurome, we identified the product best suited to meet the customer’s needs, including defining the scope of services essential to ensure the proper functioning of the infrastructure. Thanks to R1Lease’s specialized expertise, it was possible to structure a rental fee calibrated to the needs of the end customer and present it as a comprehensive, cost-effective solution.
The solution
With the rental provision of the hardware infrastructure, we integrated a sustainability-oriented solution designed to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. In support of this commitment, concrete environmental compensation was initiated through the planting of 200 trees. This initiative not only contributes to CO2 capture, but also promotes biodiversity enhancement, demonstrating a responsible and conscious approach to the ecosystem and the future of the planet.
The results
The trees were planted in collaboration with our partner “Give a Tree,” recognized as an EU Partner for the Biodiversity Strategy. This initiative not only reinforces the commitment to environmental protection, but also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN in Agenda 2030, promoting a more sustainable future in harmony with nature.
